TFL has this to say about fanlistings: A fanlisting is simply an online list of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. The only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are), they are just a place where you can sign up with other fans.
TheFanlistings.org is the original (but not official) web directory for fanlistings, dedicated to uniting the fans.
Torchwood is an anagram of Doctor Who and was made as a spin-off from that BBC production. It features a group of people who investigate aliens and their artifacts, mainly in the hope of using them in defense of the Earth. They are led by the enigmatic Captain Jack Harkness, a character who appeared in the last five episodes of Dr Who's 2005 season. Aimed towards a more adult audience, this series also explores human situations and themes and has a darker, gritter feel than it's older relation.
Torchwood is made by BBC Wales and was originally set in and around the city of Cardiff. With the latest series being co-produced by US cable channel Starz, some of the action now takes place elsewhere.
